Day Care and Camps for Children
The Aspen Center for Physics is committed to helping participants
bring their families with them to Aspen in the summer. We are
fortunate in that daycare in the Aspen area is unusually plentiful,
diverse, and available on short notice or on a drop-in basis. In
fact, many participants have found that it is not even necessary to
make prior arrangements before arriving in Aspen. However, other
participants may feel uncomfortable without having made prior
arrangements for at least the first week. Since daycare facilities change often, we suggest you Google current facilities. Some
information on visiting Aspen with a child aged 18 months or younger
is also available.
There are also many activities
for children. In addition, by early May, a list of all summer
participants indicating whether anyone in their family is interested
in providing babysitting or their need for babysitters will be made
available. We hope that this will allow families to contact one
another about arranging babysitting and daycare.
