Make your reservations far in advance, since weekend travel is popular. If all flights to Aspen are booked, look into flying to Eagle, Colorado or Grand Junction, Colorado. Be sure to arrange ground transportation from either of those destinations to Aspen. If you arrive at the Aspen airport, a RFTA bus runs every 30 minutes to downtown Aspen and is free of charge.

It is often less expensive to fly to Denver International Airport and use ground transportation instead of flying directly to Aspen. If you rent a car, it is possible to drop off a car at Aspen Airport if you are using Avis, Budget, Hertz, Enterprise, or Thrifty. You can use our rideboard to hook up with other physicists, or make a reservation with Colorado Mountain Express, a shuttle company. Tell them you want the group code PHYSICS rate (20% off regular fares). Also, Gray Lines is beginning service between Denver and Aspen. For more information about ground transportation, click here.

The Center is located on the corner of 6th and Gillespie Streets, and our address is 700 W. Gillespie. You will be on Highway 82 coming into town, which is also Main Street. From Main, turn north onto 6th Street. Our parking lot is at the end of 6th Street. Arrival information will be on the front desk of Stranahan Hall, which is the building at the north end of the parking lot. If you are in a taxi, have the driver wait for you while you pick up your packet so he can take you and your luggage to your apartment. Here is the map.
