“Thanks to the Center's excellently maintained fleet of mountain bikes, I was able to get into "physical" shape by riding up to the Maroon Bells, Ashcroft or Independence Pass on each of my days here. Many of my best ideas are developed during the long, quiet struggle against gravity. ”

It is our pleasure to provide our summer participants with bicycles at no charge. However, a suggested $25 per week donation to the Bicycle Fund is greatly appreciated and helps us continue the bicycle program. There are usually enough bicycles available for family members also. A weekly $25 maintenance fee will be added to your bill for adult family bikes. We have a small supply of children's bicycles and two child's trailers that attach to an adult bike. Because these are not maintained like our adult fleet, use is at your own risk and there is no charge. Inquire at the front desk about availability of children's bikes. We also have helmets available, but do not keep an inventory of children's sizes.

Instructions for checking out bikes are in your arrival packet and in the Smart lobby where the check–out paperwork is maintained. Questions? See the staff in Smart Hall. If you have a mechanical problem with a bicycle you may lock it to the top of the stairs leading to the Flug Forum basement and our bike mechanic will repair it. Just note in Smart Hall which bike you have returned and check out another.
