"I must comment that the opportunity provided by the Aspen Center to concentrate on thinking, reflecting and engaging in informal discussions with colleagues is indispensable and unparalleled. Academic life has become so weighted down with small tasks and daily disturbances that it really takes an opportunity like the one presented by this Workshop to foster substantive progress in theoretical science. I go back to the trenches renewed and recharged with ideas and excitement for the work."

Radio Physics on KDNK

Radio Physics is for everyone! You don't have to be a scientist or even an aficionado to be fascinated by the questions and answers that you'll hear between 4:30 and 5:00 on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

Filming at KDNK, August 2014, from left, Patty Fox, host; Alison Coil, physicist; Caroline Boyd, Zach Kendrick, Joel Suarez, Past ACP Gofers

Radio Physics is a collaboration with top high school and college physics students from Aspen to Rifle, the Aspen Center for Physics, and KDNK Community Radio in Carbondale. Students study the physicist's website, prepare questions and engage in an animated interview with one of the more than 1,000 physicists who visit the Aspen Center for Physics every year. You'll want to know the answer to the questions that they ask. Tune in!
