“The opportunity to discuss -- over an extended period of time! -- ideas with scientists studying similar projects was invaluable for renewing my excitement for my chosen field..”
NSF Annual Reports
The ACP Principal Investigators prepare the annual NSF Annual Report. NSF has been supporting the Aspen Center for Physics since 1972, and is the ACP's cognizant granting agency.
The Annual Reports are a brief overview of what happens when over 1000 physicists assemble during the year in Aspen. The nature of theoretical physics is that many of the thoughts and ideas developed in Aspen go on to become collaborations and eventually breakthroughs in scientific knowledge. These reports capture a small portion of the work that evolves at ACP over a year.
